I have research experience in a range of scientific disciplines including microbiology, molecular biology, immunology, inflammatory disease and radiology. Other therapeutic areas covered during my time as a medical writer include: antimicrobial and insecticidal agents, diabetes, cardiology, wound-healing, gastroenterology, inflammatory disease, vascular disease, oncology, ophthalmology, hormonal therapies, over-the-counter products, DNA vaccines, transplantation, veterinary medicine, and surgical, dental and medical devices. However, I am happy to work in any clinical area.
Other
I have extensive writing experience from 13 years spent in an academic, hospital and pharmaceutical research environments before becoming a freelance medical writer in 2003. I also spent 5 years working on the editorial board of the journal Microbiology. I have attending training as part of the EMWA professional development programme and have been awarded the multidisciplinary writing certificate. I have also participated in training courses specialising in the use of medical devices in clinical trials.
I aim to provide a professional service, writing high quality clinical and scientific documents to deadline. I work from my own office but am happy to travel for meetings, project work or to attend conferences. My CV and examples of my writing style are available on request.
